For New Climbers

Orientation
Every new visitor to Elevation will receive a thorough orientation covering safety basics, shoe fit, and appropriate facility usage. For more information about what to expect during your first visit, check out our first time page.

Let’s Climb Together
Explore bouldering in a social, casual atmosphere in our Let’s Climb Together series. Learning in a small group from a more experienced climber is one of the most fun and authentic ways to engage with bouldering. The assimilation of technical knowledge happens in an organic way, lasting relationships are formed, and the truth about becoming an expert climber is revealed: there is no destination, only an endless joyful journey.

Each Let’s Climb Together session will be unique, based on the interests and abilities of the participants, and you’ll have the opportunity to get personalized feedback on your projects, receive insight about the movement and intention behind specific problems, and appreciate the shared experiences we all have as climbers, regardless of ability level.

The Foundation Series
As you explore bouldering, on your own or through our Let’s Climb Together series, you’ll notice a few ideas emerge repeatedly. Mastering these core concepts is the key to unlocking understanding and progression in your climbing journey. The Foundation Series is designed to give you an in-depth understanding of four fundamental topics:

  • Falling
  • Footwork
  • Center of Gravity
  • Problem Solving


This series is ideal for those interested in taking a structured approach to their climbing education, and will give you the confidence you need to pursue challenging projects and become a creative problem solver.

The Foundation Series is free and open to all adult members. Topics repeat every four weeks.

Advanced Tactics
The world of climbing movement is deep and nuanced. In order to pursue increasingly complex projects, experienced climbers must continually hone their understanding of subtle movement, and their ability to execute moves efficiently and effectively. Advanced Tactics adds concepts to your mental toolbox on your way to becoming an expert movement analyst.

Each class will focus on a specific technical or mental skill, and help you identify potential areas of improvement. New topics will be added regularly and are visible on the class calendar.

Advanced Tactics is free and open to all adult members who have completed the Foundation Series.

For Everyone

Yoga for Climbers
Designed specifically for climbers, yoga at Elevation focuses on building strength, improving flexibility, increasing joint mobility and stability, and preventing injury. Instructors adapt to each participant’s level, and help you achieve your goals through intelligent movement. This class is free and open to all adult members. All ability levels welcome!

Body Composition
The perfect complement to climbing, Body Composition is a full body, cardio-based workout that utilizes high intensity interval training with low weight. Work your antagonist muscles and learn how to avoid overuse injuries while you build a strong, fit, healthy base. Participants are encouraged to modulate difficulty with decreased weight and modified exercises, making this a great class for all ability levels. Body Composition is free and open to all adult members.
