Come to Elevation for a week of climbing adventure! Our experienced climbing instructors lead camp participants in games and fun activities. Climbers learn technique, build confidence, problem solve, push their limits, and make friends. Available weekly, June 24th – August 30th.

How do I register?

You can register online by selecting your desired week on the calendar below. You are also welcome to call or come in to the gym if you’d like a staff member to take care of registration for you.

What does a typical day of summer camp look like?

Each day varies, and the interests and abilities of the participants are always taken into account! A typical day might look something like this:

9am Drop-off and check-in

9am – 11am Warm up, discuss the Topic of the Day (e.g. footwork), work on climbing projects with a focus on this topic. Take breaks or visit the craft room as desired!

11am – 11:15am Gather belongings and get ready to go to Skinner Butte Park

11:15am – 12:30pm Walking to and from the park, lunch, games and play time in the park

12:45pm – 2pm More climbing and climbing games, or crafts if campers are tired from the park

2pm Pick-up

Can I sign my child up for multiple camps?

Yes! A single camp is five days (Monday-Friday), but you are welcome to sign up for as many camps as you’d like. Last year we had campers who returned week after week and got something new out of it every time. Curriculum and activities vary, so no two camps will be exactly alike.

My child has never climbed before – is that ok?

Yes! Children of all ability levels are welcome at Elevation Bouldering Camp. Make sure you fill out a waiver before the first day of camp. Waivers must be signed by a parent or legal guardian, so this is especially important if someone other than you will be dropping your child off.

How does drop-off/pick-up work?

Campers may be dropped off no more than 15 minutes early (8:45am), and picked up no more than 15 minutes late (2:15pm).

Staff will not be available to supervise campers outside of the allotted time windows, and children under the age of 13 must be supervised in the gym at all times. If you are unable to drop your child off/pick your child up within the time window, please arrange to have someone else transport them.

Campers will be signed in and out of camp each day. If someone other than a parent will be picking up the child, the gym must be notified in advance. Make sure the person picking up your child is prepared to show ID.

What should my child wear to summer camp?

Campers should wear loose, comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and appropriate for athletic activities. Dresses and skirts are not recommended as they make it hard for kids to see their feet when climbing!

Bring socks to wear with rental shoes.

Weather permitting, campers will spend a portion of each day outside. Please use sunscreen or provide sun hats/glasses as you see fit.

Do I need to bring a lunch?

Campers should bring a sack lunch and a water bottle for each day of camp. Due to food allergy risk, Elevation is unable to provide food for campers who forget their lunches.

Do you offer a per-day rate?

Elevation Bouldering Camp is intended to be a full week experience (Monday-Friday), so we do not offer a day rate. However, we know that special cases arise (e.g. vacations that interfere with a camp week), so don’t hesitate to contact us at youth@elevationgym.com, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Do you offer a multi-child or multi-camp discount?

We do not offer a discount for multiple children or multiple camps.

Will there be a camp during 4th of July?

We will have camp the week of July 1st, but we won’t meet on 4th of July. Camp will meet as usual on July 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th. Because this camp is four days instead of five, the cost is $220 for non-members or $192 for members.
